Appellation Contrôlée is an official organisation based in the Netherlands. For over 12 years now Appellation Controlee enrols people (mostly students), who wish to work temporarily in other EU countries. All the season workers are members of the EU and are allowed to work in the UK legal. Our programme includes strawberry picking in Denmark, fruit and grape picking in France, flower picking in the Netherlands and fruit and vegetable picking in England. A lot of young people (but also older people) want to work temporarily in the UK. Appellation Controlee is an intermediary between the season worker and employer. Appellation Controlee enrols season workers for more than 100 farmers in different European countries. With groups between the 2 and 50 persons we can complete your whole group of labourers. It will save you a lot of time when we can do a part of your work. You will pay the season workers the same as English season workers and take care that the have a place to sleep. This can be in mobile homes or that there will be a site provided for camping. In 2005 we will have a lot of different nationalities who are interested to work in the UK. The nationalities will involve people from The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Scandinavia, Poland, Estonia and the Czech Republic. We transmit people who are very motivated. We will select the people; give them all the information they need about the work, things to bring, travel information and starting date. Because the people have to make a long trip to the UK they won’t leave after a few days. You can choose how many season workers you need. If you want you can indicate how many girls and boys you need and between which ages. We will inform you (about 3 weeks before the starting date) which people will come to your farm. It will also be possible to look on our site for the same information. You will get a code special for your farm where only you and the season workers who will work for you can look for information. If there are any changes (e.g. starting date) you can inform us and we will inform all the season workers and will change it directly on our site. The season workers will arrive the day before the harvest starts or when you asked for them. Before closing may we just add that the service we offer to you is free, you pay only the pre-agreed rate of wages to the labourers we find for you.We would like to know if you could benefit from this arrangement.
